Sustainable Bio Compost Production
Galoya Plantations operates a bio-compost processing unit designed to convert waste generated from the Sugar Factory and Distillery into nutrient-rich bio manure.
The Bio Compost Processing Unit has a production capacity of 7,000 tonnes per annum and uses modern equipment. The process includes windrow formation, aeration, inoculum application, spent-wash spraying and curing, sieving and bagging, and marketing.
The compost significantly improves soil structure, air circulation and water retention while providing both essential macro- and micronutrients required for vigorous plant growth.
